2. Newsletter (MailerLite)
You can subscribe to our mailing list to receive launch news and development updates. The signup form and the sending of these emails are handled by MailerLite, which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement (DPA).
What we process
- Your email address.
- The IP address and timestamp of your signup and confirmation, as proof of consent.
- Interaction data such as whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, where MailerLite records this.
Legal basis
Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Signup uses a double opt-in: you will receive a confirmation email and are only added to the list once you confirm.
Withdrawing consent
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to hello@playaurea.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it. Your address is deleted from the active list upon unsubscribe; records kept as proof of consent are retained for up to 3 years to comply with statutory legal defense obligations.
Processor
Processing is carried out by MailerLite Limited, 38 Mount Street Upper, Dublin 2, D02 EL45, Ireland. For more information on MailerLite's data protection standards, please consult their Privacy Policy.
3. Fonts
The Cinzel and Barlow typefaces are hosted on our own server and are delivered together with the rest of the page. No connection to Google or any other third party is made to load them, and no data about you is transmitted to such a party in the process.
4. Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Netlify's servers automatically record access data in server log files (such as your IP address, requested page, timestamp, referrer URL, and browser details). This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, optimizing, and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is automatically deleted by Netlify after 30 days.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Should the embedded MailerLite form set a technical cookie, it does so exclusively to guarantee the operation and security of the signup process.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)).

7. Right to complain
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and the game develop. The current version always applies.
